... as the train entered the tunnel ... 100 word challenge

As the train entered the tunnel ... I had finally finished listening to my music on my mp3 player.  Thud!  Thud!  Thud!  I heard on the gleaming, shiny curved roof.  Suddenly the emergency hatch flopped open.
"Bully!" I cried.  I thought this was a NO dog area!
Suddenly my Mum noticed that my puppy was back, so she asked me, "How did you find him?".
"It's a long story, " I replied.

Maths Tessellations

Yesterday for maths we were learning about Tessellations. Breanna, Jared and I made patterns with cuisenaire rods that are rectangles. The colours I used were orange and red. The orange cuisenaire rods were the longest ones. The red cuisenaire rods were one of the smallest ones you could get. And we couldn't, have any gaps.

Dear Greenpeace

31 July 2013

Dear Greenpeace

You will not believe what I saw when I was searching for pets, but a little stranded dog lying under a palm tree.  I carried him safely onto my father's boat and took him home.  My Mum then made a list with all the things I needed to do.  It said...

First: wash dog
Second: dry dog
Third: feed dog
Fourth: give dog water
Fifth: dress dog.

Then I started to think about a name and I picked Bully.  After that I took him to the pet show and Bully won first prize for being the fastest runner, so for a treat I secretly snuck a meaty bone out of the fridge and some crunched up cornflakes to feed him.

But now I am going overseas to the Cook Islands.  Please send me some information on where I can keep Bully since I can't take him on the plane.

Yours sincerely
Lauren

Dear Emily letter

Dear Emily

Here are some interesting facts about whales.
  • Whales don't sleep as we do, even though rest is important.
  • Whales can swim as fast as 30 miles per hour. WOW!
  • The blue whale is the biggest mammal in the world.
  • Your whale might be able to stay underwater for 90 minutes!
  • A group of whales is called a pod.

P.S. Tell your pet, aka Arthur, that I said hi and bye.
